For Parents

Children who are nine years of age and older are welcome to dance with us; however, parents should consider the following guidelines before allowing their children to dance:

While there are no strict age minimums, English country dancing is for people big/alert enough not to get stepped on, agile enough to move at a brisk walking pace, and mature enough to listen, cooperate, and follow the caller's lead. All of our dances need everyone involved to listen, learn and cooperate. Once the teaching is over and the dance begins, dancers cannot just drop out on a whim, without leaving a hole for everyone else.

We do not provide childcare at our dances, so parents should provide appropriate supervision of their children at all times.
